a long time...
I remember when I used to post in this...I was a lot younger then...way more time on my hands.

Things are going ok...School hit a rough patch. Almost done though. So thats good right?

Music...for so long...it wasn't doing anything...things are (FINALLY) changing...

Morgan and I are still in love...yes yes...I found myself quite a catch...

...I am getting old...it only seems it was yesterday I was 22 and I was hanging out at Sharis all the time...

Peace

a update for you all
It’s been awhile since I have last updated anything. Here goes!!!

1. I start school on Monday for becoming a Medical Assistant. It’s only a 9-month program and I can’t wait to start. It’s nice to start my REAL career while I pursue music.

2. Speaking of music it’s been going at a slower pace then I want it. We got a new guitar player and he really is turning out great. We have a bunch of new songs that are sounding good and we just need to get this ball rolling. The album is pretty much done and it needs to be mixed and mastered. Patience is something I have been fighting all along with this. Can’t stop the dream ya know…

3. Morgan and I went to Cali for a few days and that was pretty rad. I got to see lots of family and we both spent too much money at ALL THREE Amoeba record stores. It was amazing.

4. I got transferred from Seattle to Snohomish recently and that has been actually pretty awesome. I go to school in Everett so it works out.

5. We also went to the recent Emerald City Comic Con this past weekend. Again I spent too much money. Man I am a nerd.

I am gonna be busy for awhile

Walking Dove
Its late...and I am feeling very blog posty...yes I said "posty"

I haven't signed up for school yet. *sigh*...yeah...I HAVE MY REASONS OK!!!!!!!!! ALRIGHT!!!!!!!!...ok I don't have a GOOD reason...*shrugs* Just been hard to take the stupid tests...

The album is almost done...I am VERY happy with it thus far. We got vocals left...Its wierd because its sounding...epic? For real...

Morgan and I have Netflix now...as more time passes I don't know why I didn't get this sooner. Its pretty amazing. I have like 160 movies in the que. 94% of them are mine. Thanks Morgan :) I have always wanted to get caught up on flims that I NEED to see. Thanks to this I can see all the Scoresese movies I want...

"My private Idaho" Yeah...Gus Van Zandt gets the "super artsy" award.

I always love this time of year...Halloween owns...I told Morgan she should be zombie little red riding hood. I want to be a zombie something...haven't figured that out.

Buy the new Kanye album...don't buy the new band of horses. Horses was a big let down. New Kanye is almost flawless. "drunken hot girls" is bad,but the rest of it is awesome.

Here is to updating sooner rather then later...

Back in the crib
I don't do this as much as I would like...updates? Here they come....

Road Trip-
Morgan and I had a really good time. Montana is horrid and North Dakota can suck my balls. I got a speeding ticket for going SIX OVER THE SPEED LIMIT IN ND!!!!! WTF!?!??!???!!? Went to a ton of record shops and the both of us spent a ton of money. I miss all those guys already...

Music/making a record-
Well I lost a drummer and a lot momentum this last summer but lucky I had a feeling this would happen and I was prepared and have a couple of aces up my sleeve. i still need to talk to Nate (the old drummer) but life has been busier then I would want right now. Its been harder to find time to get this damn record done but its going to get done. When it is..its time to go balls out...trust me I will..Morgan and I talked about writing music together and we already have a name picked up...sweet...

School status-
Still need to sign up...I wanted to sign up for fall but I had a really stressful summer. Here is to hoping...

Being a fat ass-
That is stoping as of today...TRUST ME!!!

albums that I have purchased recently-
a lot of those...New Kanye is amazing...Smog's "a river aint to hard to love" is frigging cool too...too much to talk about...

On finally watching the TV show Heroes-
Yeah...its amazing....but then again I am a nerd....

One love

Some money came in and got the same thing as my last car but its a 97 instead of a 99 Ford escort station wagon (represent)...the color BRIGHT red...I swear Morgan's car and mine DON'T MATCH AT ALL..I PROMISE!!!!!!!!! BRRRRRRNNNNNNNNNTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!! So I am on the road again....SING IT WILLIE....I named the car "Jason" after my favorite songwriter Jason Molina but Morgan claimed that it was too boring so she suggested "J. JONAH" PERFECT!!!! So its named after my fav songwriter AND IT HAS TO DO WITH MY FAV SUPER HERO!!!!

School is HOPEFULLY for fall quarter...Court for my stupid accident is on Weds...Never been before...this will be intresting...Its a settlement hearing. Lets hope some settelment goes up that fucking cops ass a little...bastard...

I finally found Neko Case's "blacklisted" used. No way in hell I am paying 14.99 for that shit. The new Ryan Adams is pretty fun too. UPDATES!!!
Well...I have no car...thanks to a douche who tried to make a u-turn in my lane and then told the cop I tried to pass him on the left...fucker...

...*sigh*...being car-less has been...hard? Yeah...could say that...Luckily I have the best damn girlfriend pretty much ever who takes me to work in the morning. I am taking the bus as well more. That has been...exciting? I don't know...

A road trip to Minn is comming at the end of Aug with my lady. We wanted to leave yesterday...

Been listening to a lot of smog lately...I have this sudden need to buy all of his records. I am not a SUPER lo-fi guy but I think he's pretty brillitant. Just listen to my profile song and hopefully you will "get it"

Other stuff I have been consuming is a pop-punk band called Weston. For some reason...I still really like some of their songs a lot... I think "Matinee" is a solid pop record...

Um...Transformers was pretty solid...BUMBLE BEE IS A FUCKING BUG BAY!!! OK!!!! A FUCKING BUG!!!!

though some of you are going to see that piece of shit Harry Potter movie...L A M E!!!

Stuff...is happening...its good...
So...I have been busy...with life...its too busy for blogging...I wish I could blog in my head...that would be awesome...

LIFE RE-CAP:

School is still a go...still need to get off my ass about it..Morgan is going to help me with that one. (More on why later...)

Moved back into my parents house to save money for school which works out because I am NEVER there...

Writing music has been really fun lately...I am really excited about what they are going to end up sounding like...

Job couldn't be better...learning a lot and hopefully a raise soon...

Morgan graduated from UW cum laude style. She is SUPER smarter then me...

Morgan's parents helped me get a new mac laptop...I guess I finally found non-asshole girlfriend parents...I don't think I have ever met such generous people in my life. I see where Morgan gets it from.

Still need to lose the wieght I gained back...yeah....um..next subject...

At the end of August Morgan and I are going to drive to Minn and travel the Mid-west and MORE!!!! CAN I GET A HELL YEAH!!!!

I saw Spider-Man 3 THREE TIMES!!!...people can hate all they want but I LOVED it...Church scene with Spider-Man ripping his suit brought me back to being 6 years old reading about it...(dance stuff wasn't THAT bad...OK!!!!)

Ipod now has over 9,000 songs...

Life is good...

Well...I was going to..
Yeah...I know...too long AGAIN!!!...I am busy...what can I say?

Had car troubles but thankfully my old man helped me out with fixing it. Patty (my car) is back to its old self...

Going back to school in fall is a go..moving back in with my parents so I can save money for the next year and what not. I have to do testing this summer and get that ball rolling which REALLY sucks..oh well I guess...I like living with Ross but I am never there so its not worth paying rent for someplace I am never at...

I might have found a NEW guitar tone with a bassman...at my last show my amp broke so I had to barrow Camron's amp which went really well and people could really hear my vocals really well...we shall see what comes of this...we are playing a show in Bellingham on the 11th of May and the next day we are playing in Seattle at the Mars Bar...shows are good...

Over the last couple of weeks I finally got the guts to tell Morgan that I loved her which was really hard for me because I have held it in for so long. I knew she felt the same way I could ssee we were tired of telling each other "I like you so much" when it was so much more then that. I never met a girl that SHOWS how much she cares for me. Its pretty awesome. C'mon..SHE LIKES THE WATCHMEN!!! NUFF SAID!!!

I have been consuming A LOT of Bruce Springsteen lately..."Born in the USA" is such a great record. "Cover me" owns...Just last night Morgan and listened to "Nebraska" on vinyl and it was amazing...it sounds even better on vinyl. (which is saying something.)

Spider-Man 3 is comming out in two weeks...HELL YEAH!!!!....

Hit me up dudes...

new weekly updates...
I am too busy for everyday updates...other day...weekly updates will do fine...(um...who really cares? YOU DO!!! )

I have decided that I am going back to school...yeah...I hate it but I finally found what I want to do. I want to become a physical therapist assistant. Its a two year program and with prerequisites it will about three years but where I work is super flexible and they want me to go and do it.(thats how I found out about PTA's) I mean...will it actually happen remains to be seen BUT...I think this is it.

Its funny because I remember Brynn's stupid Mom always giving me shit about how I need to go to school just to go and blah blah blah and I am SO GLAD I didn't waste a ton of money by going for the sake of going not having a clear plan. I did what I thought God told me to do and just waited it out. If I didn't take the path I took I would have never landed the situation that I am in now which is a REALLY good one. I love it when I am right...

I am still going to pursue music a TON but this is my back up plan (also known as being realistic)

The record is going pretty well...LOTS and LOTS of keyboards...we basicly need a keyboard player now. Its a good problem to have I think. Most people I have been showing what we have completed so far have postive things to say about it. I have no idea when its going to be done...*shrugs*

Baseball is starting...um...GO MARINERS!!!!....zzzzzzzzzzz *yawn*...I miss the NFL...

We have a show on the 12th at the sunset with Battle Hymns (western states)...rock...

watchm....GO SEE 300...
Life seems to be back to normal...in some ways...
some big decisions are comming I think...good things I hope...

Anyone see 300? Yeah it was alright...but GO SEE THE SHIT OUT OF IT!!! The director is going to do the "Watchmen" movie and the more money you pump into 300, better the chances that Watchmen will be made and with with a good budget. I read that it could be the first "R" rated superhero movie....my nerdness is going nuts...WARNER BROS IF YOU FUCK THIS UP....

feels good to be back...

TOLD YOU!!! I AM BACK!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah...its been a LONG time...let me re-cap some of the stuff that was going on...

New house- Life at the new house is hit or miss. I love being able to play music whenver I want to downstairs BUT I hate driving to Seattle everyday...I am broke because of this...but..at least I have a place to stay...

the record- its slowly comming...problem is we all want to be there to do stuff and it gets hard to line everyone up. progess is comming...

writing new music- I have been using my old 4 track recorder a lot lately and have been writing WAY more then usual. Thanks to the new house.

the beard- Its gone...but I have chops growing as I type this...

The Lady- Her school work has been taking its toll on us but its almost done. Things are going quite nicely besides that.

The diets return- Morgan and I have started my old diet that helped me lose 30lbs last summer. I gained some of it back...not all of it thank GOD...but some...time to lose it again..so I can look good in my speedo.

New favorite band- Pretty much anything Jon Atkins does is pretty bad ass...his new band The Can't see are amazing. I saw them last week. Good stuff. 764-Hero is his old band...so DAMN good...

Now that I am back...more useless information...

Albums purchased...lots...
it had been awhile...but I GOT BACK IN THE GAME!!!...here goes..

Brothers Martin- Self titled
I love Starflyer A LOT...I am not the biggest Joy Electric fan but I can deal when need be. This album is pretty much the exact combo of the two brothers from both bands, and it certainly pays off. Jason Martin imo has gotton stuck in a rut with Starflyer and his music was starting to really suffer. This looks like his "shot in the arm" so to speak with the songs being covered with 80's new wave keys and straight ahead drums. This album will probably not get its due because its a dreaded "side project"...sad...

Brian Jonestown Massacre- Tepid Peppermint Wonderland: A Retrospective
Speaking of not getting its due, if it wasn't for the movie "DIG" BJM would probably live in no-no land forever. This band is straight up amazing. The albums is a collection of tracks from previous albums and various live preformances. The reason I got this was because they have MASS albums and I don't know which one is the "defining" one. When a band released 6 albums in one year alone its going to be hard. Essential if you aren' t dumb and like music...

MenoMena- Friend and Foe
I didn't want to like this album...I REALLY didn't want to like a band that is on Barsuk records but...here I am...and yes...it kicks a lot of ass...quarky songs with cool drums. I think the main reason I like this album is because the band doesn't come off super artsy even though they mess around with song structures and sounds. That is a hard thing to pull off...

SilverSun pick-ups- Carnavas
Once again major label is PUSHING HARDCORE a small band and trying everything they can to make as much fast cash as they can with videos, radio and cheap sales price. Well this one worked...Songs are clearly ear candy and takes me back to the mid-90's when bands had distortion and didn't care about being "original" but rather just wanted to write good songs. The best way to describe them is a modern Rose Blossem Punch.

Pixies- Bossanova
I finally found MY pixies album. Everyone has their personal favorite and I didn't have mine besides the classic "doolittle" Which is very standard and kinda lame. Bossanova seems like the most "pop" friendly of them all and has my FAVORITE song by them "velouria". (thank you weezer)

Sixteen Horsepower- Love Estate
Why do I keep buying thier albums? I don't always feel like listening to them, the vocals are raspy and old sounding and the music is recorded kinda lame sounding...well...its simple..despite these things...I still love the songs and WHEN I do feel like listening to them, they are amazing...

The Police- Reggatta De Blanc
I needed more police stuff...*shrugs*

Boys better....
I got money again....I don't know what to do with it...save it I think...I finally can start paying back some debts...cool...ok not cool but good....

House stuff is annoying...I think the owner of the house in Seattle is going to screw us...I REALLY think so...grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!

Bellingham is going to happen soon...YES!!! SOON!!!

albums purchased soon as well...

New House...whats going on and where will I be living?
New House...whats going on and where will I be living?
Well...moving back to Snohomish in a week or so...

the low down is basicly this...Roomates who have the lease until Dec need people to stay with them until that point which both Steve (my bass player/roomate) and I told them we could not do and we would be leaving in June. Last week my roomate who has the lease under his name with his wife told us we were being "evicted" and needed to be out by the end of Feb. They found some people who would stay with them until Dec so the whole upstairs had to go. I don't blame them at all for whats going on. If I was in their situation then I would do the same. It will suck driving from sno-ho to Seattle and I will be farther away from Morgan... :(

The good news about this is that I get to help my close friend Ross with his house payments. He lives by Seattle hill by a bunch of farm land and I get the whole basement to MYSELF for the band. This means we can practice pretty much all day on Saturday and I can practice whenever I want too and be AS LOUD (almost) as I want too. The people by us are far away so that REALLY excites me. More time to work on music and do demos without worrying about people around me will be REALLY REALLY amazing...

So I will be moving back to Seattle with my good friend Ian around June/ July so it will be a good change up but I will be back...

*wow that was a lot*

In geek news Dan Akroyd has said that a Ghostbusters 3 is in the works and it will be CGI with all of them doing the original voices. KICK ASS!!!!!
